At its meeting held, on the 30th of April, 2022, members of Ohuhu Mandate Group, reviewed the situation in Ohuhu land generally and focused on the current agitation for the Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency seat come 2023.
The group affirmed that the good people of Ohuhu have remained committed to the unity, peaceful coexistence and cordial relationship existing in the local government areas that made up our Federal Constituency.
The Ohuhu Mandate Group, appeals that on the basis of equity, justice, fairness, and oneness, that Ikwuano, Umuahia North and South LGAs, within our Federal Constituency should support Ohuhu to produce the next Federal House of Representatives Member, come 2023.
The Ohuhu Mandate Group, which enjoys the backing and support of eminent son’s and daughters of Ohuhu land, both at home and in diaspora, recommends that in view of widespread agitations among the people of Ohuhu, that it has become pertinent that the seat of Federal House of Representatives, be reserved for Ndi Ohuhu to occupy, come 2023.
The Ohuhu Mandate Group opines that Ikwuano and Umuahia South have benefited twice each, from the support of the Ohuhu people, at various levels and times, and also appeals to our Ibeku brothers, to kindly consider Ohuhu this time around, since they benefited when the position came to Umuahia North.
The group therefore appeals to the stakeholders of Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency and the delegates, to ensure that Ohuhu is supported to produce the next House of Reps member, come 2023.
What is good for the goose, they say, is also good for the gander.
And he who goes to equity, they say, goes with clean hands.

Finally, the Ohuhu Mandate Group extends profound gratitude to eminent sons and daughters of Ohuhu Nation, for their support and renewed doggedness towards the Ohuhu Mandate Project.
